Life
I only attended Elgin high from 1978 thru summer 1979. I graduated from Elgin and went on to Elgin Community college and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I graduated from U of I in 1984 and moved out of Illinois.
I didn't know many people at EHS and didn't have many friends. I just came from Viet Nam at that time. Mrs Wagner and another friend were my heroes who helped me a lot to overcome with my English. I think my friend is Barbara Dixie and she graduated in 1979 too. I remember her as a tall and curly, red hair girl. She has a younger sister but I don't remember her name. e got by. She taught me English and stood by me in PE teaching me how to swim. It was so rare to find someone like her to give up her fun time with her friends to spend time with me and being bored.
She went to Northern Illinois University. We exchanged a few letters and lost in touch of each other afterward sadly.
I wonder where she is now and how she is doing. If anyone knows her, please pass on the word and maybe I can be in touch with her again. That would be a miracle!
I love to see a happy ending and my wish will come true. I am looking forward to hearing from schoolmates.
